The 83rd Texas Legislature required the Pension Review Board (PRB) to establish a Minimum Educational Training (MET) Program for trustees and system administrators of Texas public retirement systems.
The Core training is designed to cover the fundamental competencies of public pensions necessary for trustees and system administrators to successfully discharge their duties.
The PRB recently adopted new MET rules that include changes to MET requirements for system administrators and trustees. The PRB recently hosted a virtual training on the new rules on November 13, 2024. View the MET rules training video or MET rules slideshow.
